END OF SUMMER ROOFTOP TASTING AT ENO FINE WINES
For years now, Eno Fine Wines has been known to host beautiful rooftop tastings in downtown Providence. And they have an extra special one planned for Thursday, Sept. 18: join Eno for their “Summer Sundown” tasting. This wine tasting will take place from 6-8:30 pm and feature end of summer pours from The Cellar Collection, snacks from Amaryllis, and live music by Matthew Kowalski.
Tickets are required and are available for $50 per person. Grab your tickets online ASAP right here and then head to this Westminster Street wine shop to enjoy a gorgeous night out!
AMARYLLIS HOSTS A SUMMER TOMATO-THEMED SUPPER CLUB
We are so lucky to have such a rich variety of restaurants, cafes, and shops brightening up historic Westminster Street! One of which is Amaryllis, a restaurant focused on farm-to-table, seasonal dishes. Amaryllis has started a delightful monthly supper club with a different theme each time.
This month, on Wednesday, Sept. 24, enjoy an end-of-season celebration of tomatoes! They’ll serve up Tomato Bread Pudding, Cherry Tomato Herbed Ricotta, and so much more. Each $75 ticket will include four courses and complimentary cocktails. Reservations are required and can be made via DM @amaryllisri on Instagram.
NEXT WEEK: *FINAL* MOVIES ON THE BLOCK SHOWS “THE WIZARD OF OZ”
It feels like we simply tapped our heels together three times and suddenly the summer was over and we’d arrived at the final Movies on the Block showing! Don’t miss it: the last screening of Summer 2025 is next week on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025 with the film The Wizard of Oz. Join us for this free outdoor film screening at Grant’s Block Park in downtown Providence, RI.
This classic 1930’s film will take us from Kansas to the mystical land of Oz. The show starts between sunset and dusk (so think after 6 pm!) and seating at Movies on the Block is not provided so bring a beach chair or picnic blanket and show up early to save your spot. (Psssst Grant’s Block was at full capacity well before the movie started last time, with folks even showing up over two hours ahead of time to setup)!
Some quick notes: please do bring a picnic dinner, or purchase food to-go from the surrounding small businesses. Although we love Dorothy’s faithful friend Toto, please do not bring your pets.
SAVE THE DATE: FLORAL POP-UP AT QUEEN OF HEARTS
Queen of Hearts and Modern Love, two sister boutiques in downtown Providence, always stock a colorful variety of clothing, accessories, pantry items, glassware, and so much more. But did you know that they also host many fun, interactive pop-ups throughout the year?
Save the date for their next pop-up: on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., join florist Salt Blossom for a floral arrangement workshop with fresh flowers and shiny disco ball vases. The event is $25 per person, and registration via Support@queenofheartsandmodernlove.com is appreciated but not mandatory.
