That’s why we’re here to share the top things we’re excited about in the coming week in each installment of “The Weekly.” Each week, we’ll rant and rave unabashedly about just a slice of the food, fun, and fantastic items that we’re currently obsessed with in downtown Providence, RI.

5/30: CIVIL TRANSFORMS THIS PROVIDENCE STREET INTO A TEMPORARY SKATE PARK
The skating community is something that truly makes downtown Providence special! And Civil—a very cool shop on Westminster Street dedicated to skate equipment, merch, and more—has big plans this weekend: the Eddy Street Jam on Saturday, May 30.
The jam will take place from 12-6 pm on Eddy Street itself in downtown Providence. It’s free to attend and a great opportunity to showcase the skills of local (and beyond) skaters on a variety of unique obstacles.
TIX ALMOST GONE:LEARN HOW TO MAKE THIS PROVIDENCE RESTAURANT’S ICONIC GNOCCHI
Have you ever had a favorite dish at a restaurant and dreamed of recreating it yourself at home? That’s how we feel about the gnocchi at Providence fine dining restaurant Gracie’s! And Gracie’s is offering a special cooking class dedicated to their Russet Potato Gnocchi on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 5:30 pm.
There’s very few tickets left so make sure to snag them as soon as possible right here. The class takes place right at Gracie’s at 194 Washington Street.
CIELITO HOSTS FIRST POTTERY CLASS AT THEIR DOWNTOWN RESTAURANT
There’s something new coming to our go-to spot for delicious Mexican food in Providence! On Wednesday, June 3 from 6-8 pm, Cielito Mexican Kitchen is hosting a pottery class at the restaurant. A ticket includes a drink from Cielito and a very beginner-friendly pottery class with all the supplies needed.
Enjoy a fun, interactive night out with a friend or on your own. Tickets are going fast so snag yours right here as soon as possible! Plus, we hear that a portion of the proceeds go to a local mental health initiative.
