The team behind Pizza Marvin and Club Frills are cooking up something fun in downtown Providence this summer…

We’d call this one a home run: Rollers Sports Bar and Grill is coming soon to Providence, RI! In June 2026, this bar and restaurant will join the downtown neighborhood at 33 Aborn Street (pssst also known as the Satin Doll and Durk’s Bar-B-Q’s old home- we miss ya, Durk’s). Rollers is a vibrant, modern sports bar offering a fresh and unique approach to classic bar food and drinks.

THE TEAM BEHIND ROLLERS

There’s a few familiar faces behind this project since it’s the latest concept from Littleneck Hospitality Group; co-owners Robert Andreozzi and Jesse Hedberg are the team known for Pizza Marvin and Club Frills in Providence, along with four new dining spaces opened at Newport’s recently revamped Hotel Viking. Christopher Rivera (of Littleneck Hospitality Group) and Kayleigh Speck (of Club Frills) are also joining the management team at Rollers.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT ROLLERS

Rollers will be a downtown destination where sports and pop culture intersect, conveniently located just blocks away from the Amica Mutual Pavilion and other downtown attractions. This will be the spot to pregame ahead of a Providence Bruins game and to celebrate a college basketball win! Want to catch a game live on television? The bar displays fifteen screens showcasing everything from the local games to college sports to women’s sports.

If you’re like us, you might be wondering, will Rollers be showing the upcoming soccer games? The answer is a resounding YES. This will be the place to watch all the upcoming matches.

And if you don’t consider yourself a huge sports fan, Rollers is 100% for everyone who simply enjoys delicious takes on the classics. The restaurant will be open daily for lunch, dinner, and bar service, with a family-friendly environment. The food and drink menus come from an award-winning duo, as both Andreozzi and Hedberg are James Beard Award-nominated. The food will be crafted by Andreozzi with an emphasis on locally sourced, wood-fired grilled items, while Hedberg transfers the creativity he is known for at Pizza Marvin and Club Frills to an inventive drink menu at Rollers.

A LITTLE HISTORY LESSON

The name of the bar is inspired by two Rhode Island sports teams: the Providence Steam Roller, Rhode Island’s only National Football League (NFL) team, which existed from 1925 to 1931, and the Providence Steamrollers, a Basketball Association of America team that played from 1946 to 1949. Rollers provides not only a new approach to sports bar culture, but also pays homage to Providence’s place in the history of sports.

The 33 Aborn Street location was previously home to the recently shuttered Durk’s Bar-B-Q and, before that, the Satin Doll.
