NEW THAI RESTAURANT PHED PHED IS NOW OPEN IN DOWNTOWN PROVIDENCE

We know you’ve been wondering, and we have the news you’ve been waiting for: Phed Phed is now open! This brand new Thai restaurant is located at 71 Washington Street in downtown Providence, RI and it’s open from Thursday through Tuesday. There’s succulent duck! Spicy curries! Flavorful drunken noodles! Gorgeous cocktails!

(If you are curious what the restaurant and food looks like, we recently visited and made this lil Instagram reel all about our experience!)

And fun fact: it is connected to the existing Tori Tomo restaurant space—directly next door—with newly opened passages between the two restaurants. Tori Tomo and Phed Phed also share cocktail and food menus and are open during the same business hours. Guests are able to order off a double-sided menu that features full offerings from both Tori Tomo and Phed Phed.

3/26: SLOVENIAN & CROATIAN WINES AT OBERLIN (PLUS COMMUNITY BAKE SALE NEWS)

Sip something delicious over at Oberlin for their Vinum By the Glass Takeover on Thursday, March 26! Taste a variety of carefully curated wines from Slovenia and Croatia at Oberlin, a lauded downtown Providence restaurant (definitely do yourself a favor and order a little pasta and crudo- so good). Wine can be ordered by the glass or as a flight. There’s still some room for reservations right here, but we hear that walk-ins are welcome too.

A little info about the night, straight from Oberlin: “Wines from Slovenia & Croatia have been spotted on our lists here and there through out the years, and they have always been team favorites. With the planning of this event I've gotten to take a bit more of a deep dive on these lively, vivid wines and storied countries.”

PLUS: Oberlin just announced their next Community Bake Sale on Saturday, April 4 from 11 am to 2 pm. This is Oberlin’s second bake sale in collaboration with other local food and coffee vendors. The proceeds go to Amos House and Dorcas International. Mark your calendar and stay tuned form more details.
