THREE ITEMS INDOWNCITY IS ORDERING DURING HAPPY HOUR AT GIFT HORSE
Sometimes we’re at a restaurant and we order dishes that we simply cannot stop thinking about afterwards… (It’s been days and here I am, just sitting here at my computer on a Thursday morning, dreaming of raw scallops??) One recent example was our happy hour order at Gift Horse.
From Thursday through Monday, Gift Horse—a full raw bar restaurant located in Providence—offers $2-buck-shuck oysters and chilled items from 4-5 pm. This is a great place to head after work for a little snack and drink. Here’s the order I, Abigail, am most likely to put in (pssst you can also see it all in one of our recent reels on Instagram):
I love the Raw Scallops; they’re paired with Shio Kombu, Sesame, Parsley, and Lemon! They’re silky and salty and I can easily eat them all in one sitting.
If you haven’t ordered the Smoked Fish Dip with Preserved Calabrian Peppers yet, please do yourself a favor and do so. The Puffed Nori Chips are so good, too.
This is probably no surprise, but oysters are an absolute requirement if I’m at Gift Horse. They’re fresh and hyper local so of course I’m ordering a whole slew of them for the $2 buck shuck during happy hour. I especially love to see the Aquidneck Cups and Dutchies on the menu.
