The Weekly: 10/16/25 Guide to Downtown Providence
In Providence, there’s always something interesting going on! And we understand how challenging it can be to wade through all the happenings and decide what events to attend, where to eat, and what to shop for. That’s why we’re here to share the top things we’re excited about in the coming week in each installment of “The Weekly.” Each week, we’ll rant and rave unabashedly about just a slice of the food, fun, and fantastic items that we’re currently obsessed with in downtown Providence, RI.

THE EDDY UNVEILS NEW FALL DRINKS MENU
When the seasons change, we’re ready for a full immersion into all things seasonal! So of course we were delighted to stop in at The Eddy, a classic cocktail bar in downtown Providence, to sample a few of their new autumnal menu items. Earth tones are on display in the form of cozy, delicious drinks… (And even better- each cocktail can be made spirit-free.)
We sipped on just three of the new offerings: the “Darjeeling Limited” is smokey, with major flavor coming from the pineapple rum, mezcal, sherry, apple and so much more. “Porch Fest” is light and refreshing, relying heavily on the apple representation via the Claque Pepin Calvados and Granny Smith apples (if we had to choose, this one was extra special). And the “Mai Chai” is like a cool, boozy, fruity chai in a glass; it features chai, two types of rum, sherry, pistachio, and cardamom. And that’s just a taste test of what’s on the menu!
THURSDAY: JEPHRY FLORAL STUDIO HOSTS OPENING PARTY AT NEW LOCATION
Want to take home a free bouquet? Sip a complimentary cocktail/mocktail hand crafted by Little Bitte Artisanal Cocktails? Because the day is here: it feels like just yesterday that we were announcing Jephry Floral Studio’s relocation to downtown Providence… And now the Jephry team are set up and settled in at their storefront on Westminster Street, and they’re ready to celebrate.
Please help us welcome this beautiful flower shop to the neighborhood during their opening party tonight on Thursday, Oct. 16 from 5-7 pm at 326 Westminster Street. There will be music, cocktails, mocktails, and gourmet pretzels, plus the first 50 guests will receive a complimentary bouquet as a little memento! Plus we’re running a sweet little Instagram giveaway—one lucky winner will be announced at 2 pm on Thursday, Oct. 16—with flowers, wine, and books in the mix. Enter here.
FRIDAY: QUEEN OF HEARTS BOUTIQUE CELEBRATES 19 YEARS OF BUSINESS
Providence is such a special place very much because of its vibrant art scene and unique small business community! That’s why we are always very excited to celebrate any significant milestone. This month, fashion boutique Queen of Hearts will celebrate their 19th anniversary in downtown Providence.
Queen of Hearts will host an anniversary party this week on Friday, Oct. 17 at 7 pm with refreshments and a special drag show by Terrible Sue and Semi-Sweet at their store at 220 and 222 Westminster Street.
For a little history lesson, Queen of Hearts opened in 2006 mainly selling original designs by owner Karen Beebe, before eventually moving to Westminster Street and expanding both in space (sister store Modern Love opened in 2010) and in inventory! Now, Queen of Hearts and Modern Love live side by side and stock clothing, accessories, pantry items, gifts, and so much more.
