THIS RHODE ISLAND BREWERY IS POPPING UP AT THE MALTED BARLEY

Nothing hits quite like a chilled beer on these hazy summer days... And if that sounds like heaven, The Malted Barley in downtown Providence has something planned for you! On Friday, July 24 from 6-8 pm, Tilted Barn will pop up at The Malted Barley for Pint Night.

The night includes complimentary pint glasses (when you order Tilted Barn) and three special Rhody-brewed beers on tap: Tilted Barn’s “Polliwog,” “Cactus,” and “Sunrise Over Sea.” Plus there will be brand reps there to answer all your questions.

CIVIL SKATESHOP HOSTS SKATE JAM IN DOWNTOWN PROVIDENCE

The skating community is something that truly makes downtown Providence special! And Civil—a very cool shop on Westminster Street dedicated to skate equipment, merch, and more—has big plans this weekend: the Eddy Street Jam is on Saturday, July 25.

The jam will take place from 12-6 pm on Eddy Street itself in downtown Providence. It’s free to attend and a great opportunity to showcase the skills of local (and beyond) skaters on a variety of unique obstacles. First timers and seasoned skaters alike are welcome. Plus, it’s backed by Vans!

SAVE THE DATE: “CLUELESS” SHOWS AT AUGUST MOVIES ON THE BLOCK

Thinking of missing our next Movies on the Block free outdoor screening? As if! Mark your calendars because we’ll be showing the 90s cult classic “Clueless” on Thursday, Aug. 13 at dusk (so after sunset, once it’s dark enough for the projector). Alicia Silverstone stars in the iconic role of Cher, a wealthy high schooler who embarks on a matchmaking journey that may just end in disaster. (Pssst this is a very entertaining 90s retelling of Jane Austen’s novel “Emma.”)

Movies on the Block takes place at Grant’s Block Park in downtown Providence. There’s no seating provided so bring your beach chairs and show up early because space is limited! This park unfortunately cannot accommodate dogs, so please leave them safe and cozy at home. Hungry? Oberlin is vending food and drinks right on-site.
