Happy November, everyone. In Providence, there’s always something interesting going on! And we understand how challenging it can be to wade through all the happenings and decide what events to attend, where to eat, and what to shop for. That’s why we’re here to share the top things we’re excited about in the coming week in each installment of “The Weekly.” Each week, we’ll rant and rave unabashedly about just a slice of the food, fun, and fantastic items that we’re currently obsessed with in downtown Providence, RI.

COCKTAIL CLASS AND COOKBOOK DEBUT AT GIFT HORSE
Calling all aspiring mixologists (or just anyone who has an appreciation for delicious cocktails): on Sunday, Dec. 21, Gift Horse is hosting a cocktail class. From 3-5 pm, join Nick Korn from America’s Test Kitchen as he guides guests through cocktail making in honor of the most recent edition of Cocktails Illustrated.
What to expect? “During the class he will cover a classic cocktail, how to make it, and how to use creativity and some kitchen skills to create a whole new drink. Light snacks, Raw Bar, and 3 cocktails will be included with your ticket price!” Make your reservation here.
RELIVE THE GLITZ AND GLAM OF PROM NIGHT FOR NEW YEARS EVE AT GRACIE’S
Making plans for New Year’s Eve? On Wednesday, Dec. 31, Gracie’s (a fine dining establishment in downtown Providence, RI) is inviting their guests to dress up in prom attire and enjoy a night of throwbacks! The night will include a special tasting menu, dancing, music, and a grand celebration to ring in 2026.
Reservations are required and can be made right here. There is a 7-course tasting menu for $210 per person, and a 5-course tasting menu for $150 per person.
RING IN THE NEW YEAR AT THE MALTED BARLEY
The Malted Barley has something fun on the menu for New Year’s Eve! Starting at 8 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 31, head to this popular beer hall in downtown Providence, RI for music, a photo booth, trivia, prizes, and a complimentary champagne toast when the clock strikes 12. There’s no cover for the festivities.
The Malted Barley is known for their impressive variety of craft beers and delicious housemade pretzel sandwiches and desserts. If you want to spend the last night of the year with fun in a casual environment, this is for you!
